  • What is Adrenaclick?

    Adrenaclick is an emergency injection (shot) of epinephrine. It is used in emergency situations to treat severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) to insect stings or bites, food, medications, other allergens, or unknown causes. This medicine can be injected subcutaneously (just below the skin) or intramuscularly (into the muscle).

  • What is the most important information I should know about Adrenaclick?

    Inject Adrenaclick into the outer area of your thigh. Do not inject Adrenaclick into your hands, feet, buttock, or veins because it may result in a loss of blood flow to those areas. If you accidentally inject Adrenaclick into any of those areas, seek immediate emergency medical attention.

    Immediately after you use this product, go to the nearest hospital emergency room for further medical attention. Tell the doctor that you have received an injection of epinephrine.

    Since you cannot predict when a life-threatening allergic reaction will occur, carry Adrenaclick with you at all times.

  • Who should not take Adrenaclick?

    Do not use Adrenaclick if you weigh less than 15 kilograms (approximately 33 pounds). You should use other products that can give lower doses of epinephrine.

  • What should I tell my doctor before I take the first dose of Adrenaclick?

    Tell your doctor about all prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal medications you are taking before beginning treatment with Adrenaclick. Also, talk to your doctor about your complete medical history, especially if you have allergies, heart or thyroid problems, high blood pressure, depression or other mental disorders, asthma, diabetes, or Parkinson's disease.

  • What is the usual dosage?

    The information below is based on the dosage guidelines your doctor uses. Depending on your condition and medical history, your doctor may prescribe a different regimen. Do not change the dosage or stop taking your medication without your doctor's approval.

    Adults and children: Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate dose for you, based on your weight.

  • How should I take Adrenaclick?

    Use Adrenaclick as prescribed by your doctor. Inject Adrenaclick in the outer area of your thigh and leave it in for 10 seconds. Each Adrenaclick can give one injection. Do not use extra doses or use more often without talking to your doctor.

  • What should I avoid while taking Adrenaclick?

    Do not inject Adrenaclick into your hands, feet, buttock, veins, or anywhere other than the outer area of your thigh.

    Do not remove the gray caps until you are ready to use Adrenaclick. Also, never put your thumb, fingers, or hand over the red tip of the auto-injector.

    Do not use Adrenaclick if it is expired, cloudy, discolored, or has particles. Replace your Adrenaclick if you notice these changes to your medication.

  • What are possible food and drug interactions associated with Adrenaclick?

    If Adrenaclick is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Adrenaclick with the following: blood pressure medications (such as propranolol); certain antidepressants (such as amitriptyline, tranylcypromine, or phenelzine); certain antihistamines (such as chlorpheniramine, tripelennamine, or diphenhydramine); dihydroergotamine; diuretics (water pills) (such as furosemide); heart medications (such as digoxin); levothyroxine; or phentolamine.

  • What are the possible side effects of Adrenaclick?

    Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, tell your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking this drug.

    Side effects may include: anxiety, dizziness, feelings of over-excitement or fear, headache, increased or irregular heartbeat, nausea, paleness, shakiness, sweating, vomiting, weakness

  • Can I receive Adrenaclick if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

    The effects of Adrenaclick during pregnancy and breastfeeding are unknown. Tell your doctor immediately if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

  • What should I do if I miss a dose of Adrenaclick?

    Adrenaclick should only be used in emergency situations and is not to be used regularly.

  • How should I store Adrenaclick?

    Store at room temperature. Do not freeze or refrigerate. Protect from light.
