    Children's Zyrtec contains an antihistamine. It is intended to temporarily relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itchy nose or throat due to hay fever or other allergies affecting the upper respiratory system.

    Do not use this product if you have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients, or to an antihistamine containing hydroxyzine.

    Stop using this product and ask a doctor if an allergic reaction occurs. Seek medical help right away.

    Drowsiness may occur when using this product. Avoid alcoholic drinks. Alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness. Be careful while driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery.

    This medication is not recommended for women who are breast-feeding.

    Children's Zyrtec Allergy Syrup:

    Adults and children 6 years: Take 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) or 2 teaspoonfuls (10 mL) once daily depending upon the severity of symptoms. Do not take more than 2 teaspoonfuls (10 mL) in 24 hours.

    Adults 65 years: Take 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) once daily; do not take more than 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) in 24 hours.

    Children 2 to under 6 years: Take ½ teaspoonful (2.5 mL) once daily. If needed, dose can be increased to a maximum of 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) once daily, or ½ teaspoonful (2.5 mL) every 12 hours. Do not give more than 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) in 24 hours.

    Consumers with liver or kidney disease: Ask a doctor.

    Children's Zyrtec Perfect Measure:

    Medicine should be dispensed directly into the mouth using the enclosed pre-filled spoon(s).

    Adults and children ≥6 years: Take 1 pre-filled spoon (5 mL) or 2 pre-filled spoons (10 mL) once daily depending upon the severity of symptoms. Do not take more than 2 pre-filled spoons (10 mL) in 24 hours.

    Adults ≥ 65 years: Take 1 pre-filled spoon (5 mL) once daily; do not take more than 1 pre-filled spoon (5 mL) in 24 hours.

    Children <6 years: Ask a doctor.

    Consumers with liver or kidney disease: Ask a doctor.

    Children's Zyrtec Chewable Tablets:

    May be taken with or without water.

    Adults and children ≥6 years: Take one 10 mg tablet once daily; do not take more than one 10 mg tablet in 24 hours. A 5 mg product may be appropriate for less severe symptoms.
