Adults and children 2 years: Apply LiceMD to dry hair only. Begin applying the product at the nape of the neck. Pay special attention to this area and the areas behind the ears, where lice, eggs and nits (empty eggshells) are most likely to be found. Massage until the hair and scalp are thoroughly wet from the product. For longer hair, pin hair up and apply to nape of neck first, then apply to the rest of the hair.

For one child with short length hair (ear-length or shorter) use 1 to 2 oz. of shampoo. For a child with medium length hair (shoulder length) use 2 to 3 oz. of shampoo and for a child with long length hair (past shoulder length) use 3 to 4 oz. of shampoo.

After applying product, wait 10 minutes before combing out lice, eggs, and nits. While hair and scalp are still wet with the product, comb hair with a regular comb to take out snarls and tangles. Then comb with the enclosed lice comb. Make sure all the hair goes through the teeth as you comb. It is important to get the teeth of the comb very close to the scalp because eggs are commonly found on the hair shaft near the hair roots.

Afterward, wash hair thoroughly with regular shampoo and warm water. Keep a towel over the face to keep the product out of the eyes. Two or more washings may be needed to completely remove the product from the hair.

Check scalp and hair daily for lice, eggs, and nits for 10 days. If any are seen, you may repeat these steps.

    Children <2: Consult a doctor.
