    Maximum Strength Cortizone-10 Ointment is intended to provide temporary relief from itching related to minor skin irritation, inflammation, and rashes due to eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, insect bites, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, psoriasis, cosmetics, detergents, soaps, and jewelry.

    It can also temporarily relieve external anal and genital itching.

    This product is for external use only. Do not use in the genital area if you have a vaginal discharge, or for treating diaper rash. Consult a doctor in these cases.

    When using this product, avoid contact with the eyes, do not use more than directed unless it has been advised by a doctor, and do not put the product directly into the rectum using fingers, any mechanical device, or an applicator.

    Stop using the product and ask a doctor if your condition grows worse, symptoms persist for more than 7 days, or symptoms clear up and return within a few days. Do not start using any other hydrocortisone product unless you have discussed it with a doctor.

    Stop using the product and ask a doctor if rectal bleeding develops.

    Keep this product out of the reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control center immediately.

    For treating external anal or genital itching, clean the affected area when possible with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and blot or pat dry with toilet tissue or a soft cloth before applying the product.

    Adults and children 2 years: For treating itching of skin irritation, inflammation, and rashes, apply the product to the affected area no more than 3 to 4 times daily.
