    Mucinex Expectorant for Kids contains an expectorant that is intended to help loosen mucus and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus and make coughs more productive.
  • Are there any warnings associated with Mucinex Expectorant for Kids?

    Stop using this product and talk to a doctor if the cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with a fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious illness.

    Do not use in children under the age of 4.

    Keep this product out of the reach of children. In case of an overdose, get medical help or contact a poison control center immediately.

    Do not use the liquid product if the seal under the bottle cap printed neckband on bottle cap is torn or missing. Do not use the mini-melts if the carton or packets are torn or open.

    Children 4- under 6 years: Take 2.5 to 5 mL every 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period.Children <4: Do not use.

    Empty entire contents of packet onto tongue and swallow. For best taste, do not chew granules.

    Children 6- under 12 years: Take 2 to 4 packets every 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period.

    Children 4- under 6 years: Take 1 to 2 packets every 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period.

    Children < 4: Do not use.

    Empty entire contents of packet onto tongue and swallow. For best taste, do not chew granules. Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period.

    Adults and Children 12 years: Take 2 to 4 packets every 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period.

    Children 6-under 12 years: Take 1 to 2 packets every 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period.

    Children 4- under 6 years: Take 1 packet every 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period.

    Children < 4: Do not use.

    Store at room temperature. Do not refrigerate the liquid.
