    Nix Creme Rinse is a lice treatment intended to treat head lice.

    Do not use on children under 2 months of age.

    This product is for external use only.

    Do not use near the eyes or inside the nose, ears, mouth, or vagina.

    Do not use on lice in the eyebrows or eyelashes.

    When using this product, keep eyes closed tightly and protect the eyes with a washcloth or towel. If the product gets into eyes, flush them immediately with large amounts of water.

    Stop using the product and see a doctor if breathing difficulty, eye irritation, or infection occurs, or if skin or scalp irritation continues or infection occurs.

    Keep this product out of the reach of children. If the product is swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control center immediately.

    Talk to a doctor before using this product if you are allergic to ragweed. It may cause breathing difficulty or an asthmatic episode.

    This product may cause difficulty breathing or an asthmatic episode.

    When using this product, scalp itching or redness may occur.

    If Nix Creme Rinse is used with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. Always check with your doctor before combining Nix Creme Rinse with any other medication.
  • What is the usual dosage of Nix Creme Rinse?

    Wash hair with a shampoo without conditioner. Do not use a shampoo that contains a conditioner or a conditioner alone conditioner may decrease the activity of Nix. Rinse with water and towel-dry hair so it is damp but not wet. Shake the bottle of Nix Creme Rinse well, and completely saturate the hair and scalp with this product. Begin to apply Nix behind the ears and at the back of the neck.

    Leave product on the hair for 10 minutes, but no longer. Rinse with warm water. Towel-dry hair and comb out tangles. Remove nits (lice eggs) by combing the hair with the special small tooth metal comb provided. Make sure the hair remains slightly damp while removing nits. If the hair dries during combing, dampen it slightly with water.

    If live lice are seen 7 days after the first treatment, a second treatment should be given to remove the lice completely.
