    PediaCare Children's Cough and Congestion contains a cough suppressant and an expectorant. It is intended to temporarily relieve cough, chest congestion, and mucus.
  • Are there any warnings associated with PediaCare Children's Cough and Congestion?

    Do not use this product in a child who is taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), or for two weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. MAOIs are sometimes used for treating Parkinson's disease, depression, or other emotional or psychiatric conditions.

    Do not use more of this product than directed.

    Stop using this product and talk to a doctor if the cough gets worse or lasts for more than 7 days, or if the cough comes back or occurs with a fever. These could be signs of a serious illness.

    Do not use this product in children under 4 years of age.

    Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In the case of an accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.

    Children 48 to 95 pounds, 6 to 11 years: Take 5 to 10 milliliters (mL). Do not use more than 6 times in 24 hours.

    Children 36 to 47 pounds, 4 to 6 years: Take 2.5 to 5 mL. Do not use more than 6 times in 24 hours.

    Children under 36 pounds, < 4 years: Do not use.
