Adults and children 1 year and older: The usual dosage is given by massaging a thin film of cream or ointment over the affected area 2 or 3 times a day.

Apply a thin film of Aclovate cream or ointment to the affected skin areas and massage gently until the medication disappears. Do not apply this cream or ointment to face, underarms, or groin areas, unless you are directed by your doctor to do so.

Avoid using bandages or dressings on the areas of your body treated with Aclovate.
