What is Crolom?

Crolom is an eye drop that relieves the itching, tearing, discharge, and redness caused by seasonal and chronic allergies.

What is the most important information I should know about Crolom?

In order for Crolom to work properly, you must continue to use it every day at regular intervals even if your symptoms have disappeared. It can take up to 6 weeks for your condition to clear up.

Who should not take Crolom?

Do not use Crolom if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients.

What should I tell my doctor before I take the first dose of Crolom?

Tell your doctor about all prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal medications you are taking before beginning treatment with Crolom. Also, talk to your doctor about your complete medical history, especially if you wear contact lenses.

What is the usual dosage?

The information below is based on the dosage guidelines your doctor uses. Depending on your condition and medical history, your doctor may prescribe a different regimen. Do not change the dosage or stop taking your medication without your doctor's approval.

Adults and children: Put 1 or 2 drops into each eye 4 to 6 times a day at evenly spaced intervals.

It is not known whether Crolom is safe and effective for children <4 years.

How should I take Crolom?

Use Crolom exactly as directed by your doctor. Follow the instruction sheet that comes with Crolom. Do not use more or less than required and apply it only when scheduled.

To administer Crolom, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Tilt your head back and gently pull your lower eyelid down to form a pocket between your eye and the lid. Drop the medicine into this pocket; release the eyelid. Do not place Crolom directly over the pupil of the eye. Blink a few times to make sure the eye is covered with medication. Close the eye and use a tissue to wipe away any extra medication.

Do not touch the applicator tip to your eye or any other surface. This could lead to infection. Do not rinse the dropper.

What should I avoid while taking Crolom?

Do not wear contact lenses while suffering from allergy-induced eye irritation and while using Crolom.

What are possible food and drug interactions associated with Crolom?

If Crolom is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. Always check with your doctor before combining Crolom with any other drugs, herbs, or supplements.

What are the possible side effects of Crolom?

Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, tell your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking this drug.

Side effects may include: allergic reactions, dryness around the eye, eye irritation, inflammation of the eyelids, itchy, puffy or watery eyes, styes

Can I receive Crolom if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

The effects of Crolom during pregnancy and breastfeeding are unknown. Talk with your doctor before taking this drug if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Crolom?

Use it as soon as possible. Then go back to your regular schedule.

How should I store Crolom?

Store at room temperature. Keep the container tightly closed and away from light.
