Return to topFrova may cause heart problems. If there is already a heart condition, such as coronary artery disease (CAD), this drug should not be used. This drug should not be given to anyone who would have symptoms of CAD, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking, obesity, diabetes, a family history of CAD, menopause, or men over 40 years of age.

Adults: The usual dosage of Frova is one tablet taken by mouth with liquid. If the headache recurs after initial relief, a second tablet may be taken, as long as you have waited 2 hours between doses. The maximum daily dose of Frova is 3 tablets.
