MiraLax is used to relieve constipation. It works by retaining water in the stool, softening it and increasing the frequency of bowel movements. It may take up to 2 to 4 days to work.

Dissolve 1 capful or packet of MiraLax powder (17 grams) in 8 ounces of water, juice, soda, coffee, or tea. To promote regularity, make sure your diet includes plenty of fiber and fluids, and get regular exercise.
