What is the usual dosage?

Adults and children >12 years: The usual is one 800 milligram (mg) tablet 3 to 4 times a day.

What should I avoid while taking Skelaxin?
Return to topSkelaxin may impair mental and/or physical abilities required for performance of hazardous tasks, such as operating machinery or driving. Be careful in any activities that require you to be awake and alert until you know how this medication affects you.
Avoid drinking alcohol as it may increase some of the side effects of Skelaxin. Avoid using in combination with central nervous system depressants (such as cold medicine, pain medication, other muscle relaxers, and medicines to treat depression or anxiety). Concurrent use may make you sleepy.
What are possible food and drug interactions associated with Skelaxin?
