What is the most important information I should know about Feldene?
Return to topNonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as Feldene, may increase the chance of a heart attack or stroke that can lead to death. This chance increases with longer use of NSAID medicines and in people who have heart disease. NSAIDs should never be used right before or after a heart surgery called a coronary artery bypass graft (CABG).
NSAIDs may cause ulcers and bleeding in the stomach and intestines at any time during treatment. This can happen without warning symptoms and may cause death. The chance of a person getting an ulcer or bleeding increases with taking medicines called corticosteroids (anti-inflammatory drugs) and anticoagulants (blood thinners), longer use, smoking, drinking alcohol, older age, or having poor health.
It may take up to 12 days to feel the full benefit of this medication; however, you will notice some relief as soon as you start taking this medication.
Who should not take Feldene?
Return to topDo not take Feldene if you are allergic to it or to any of its ingredients. You should also avoid this medication if you have breathing problems such as asthma, allergic reactions to aspirin or to similar medications, or have just had CABG surgery.

Adults: The usual dosage of Feldene is 20 milligrams (mg) once per day. If needed, your doctor may instruct you to divide this dosage into smaller doses.

Serious side effects may include: blood in stool, chest pain, itchiness, nausea, shortness of breath/trouble breathing, skin rash/blisters, slurred speech, swelling of face or throat, vomiting blood, weakness in one part/side of your body, yellowing of eyes and skin. Can I receive Feldene if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
