The information below is based on the dosage guidelines your doctor uses. Depending on your condition and medical history, your doctor may prescribe a different regimen. Do not change the dosage or stop taking your medication without your doctor's approval.

Adults: The usual dose is 400 milligrams twice a day.

How should I take Isentress?

Take Isentress exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet twice a day by mouth. It can be taken with or without food.

Isentress should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Talk with your doctor before taking this drug if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Isentress?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If you do not remember until it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed dose.
