What is the most important information I should know about Olux-E?

The propellant in Olux-E Foam is flammable. Avoid fire, flame or smoking during and immediately following application.

Systemic absorption of topical steroids may cause adrenal suppression (the inability of the adrenal gland to produce adequate amounts of cortisol). Topical corticosteroids may also cause the manifestations of Cushing's syndrome (high levels of cortisol in the body), high blood sugar/glucose, and glucose in urine.

Application over large surface areas, prolonged use, and use of a dressing over the site of application may increase absorption. Adrenal suppression should be monitored and if necessary the drug should be used less frequency or stopped.

If irritation develops, stop use and use proper treatment. If a skin infection develops while using Olux-E, use the proper antifungal or antibacterial. If there is no response, stop use until the infection is controlled.

Olux-E is for external use only. Unless otherwise prescribed, it should not be used on the face or in skin-fold areas (eg, underarms or groin). Avoid contact with eyes and other mucous membranes. Wash hands after use. Treated areas should not be wrapped or bandaged unless otherwise directed by your doctor.

Report any signs of an adverse reaction to your doctor. If undergoing surgery, let your doctor know that you are using Olux-E Foam. Stop use when improvement of condition is seen.

Tell your doctor if there is no improvement after 2 weeks. No more than 50 grams (21 capfuls) should be used per week.
