Verdeso foam is used to treat mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children, age 3 months and older. Atopic dermatitis is a condition where the skin becomes extremely itchy; when scratched, it can result in redness, swelling, cracking, scaling, and crusting.

The areas of your body being treated with Verdeso should not be covered with a bandage or dressing. This may cause an increase in blood sugar, sugar in urine, and, potentially, Cushing's syndrome. Cushing's syndrome is an increase in ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone), which can produce symptoms such as weight gain, fatigue, and increased blood pressure.

What should I tell my doctor before I take the first dose of Verdeso?

Mention all prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal medications you are taking before beginning treatment with Verdeso. Also, talk to your doctor about your complete medical history, especially if you are going to have surgery.


What is the usual dosage?

The information below is based on the dosage guidelines your doctor uses. Depending on your condition and medical history, your doctor may prescribe a different regimen. Do not change the dosage or stop taking your medication without your doctor's approval.

Adults and children 3 months and older: A thin layer of Verdeso foam should be applied to the affected area(s) twice daily.


How should I take Verdeso?

Verdeso should not be put directly on the face. Squirt the foam into your hands and gently massage it into the affected areas of your face until the medication disappears. For areas other than the face, the medication may be applied directly on the affected area. Take care to avoid contact with the eyes. If no improvement is seen in 4 weeks, contact your doctor.

Side effects may include: application site burning, asthma, cough, headache, irritability, itching, red skin blotches, redness

The effects of Verdeso during pregnancy and breastfeeding are unknown. Tell your doctor immediately if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.


What should I do if I miss a dose of Verdeso?

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule. Do not double the dose.
