What is Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain?
Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain temporarily relieves headache, minor aches and pains, and nasal congestion. Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain is a combination of two drugs--acetaminophen (a pain reliever and fever reducer) and phenylephrine (a nasal decongestant).What is the most important information I should know about Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain?
Do not use more than the recommended dose of Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain. Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain contains acetaminophen. Severe liver damage may occur if you take more than 12 caplets in 24 hours (the maximum daily amount), with other drugs containing acetaminophen, or three or more alcoholic drinks every day while using Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain. Also do not use Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain with any other drug containing acetaminophen (prescription or nonprescription). If you are not sure whether a drug contains acetaminophen, ask a doctor or pharmacist.Do not use Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain if you ever had an allergic reaction to Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain or any of its ingredients.
Taking more than the recommended dose (overdose) may cause liver damage. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away (1-800-222-1222). Quick medical attention is important for adults as well as children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
Do not use Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), a class of drugs used to treat depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain.
Stop use of Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain if you have nervousness, dizziness, or trouble sleeping, if your pain or nasal congestion gets worse or lasts more than 7 days, or fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days, redness or swelling is present, or new symptoms occur. These could be signs of a serious condition.
Do not use Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain in children <12 years old. This formulation will provide more than the recommended dose (overdose) and may cause liver damage.
Who should not take Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain?
Do not use Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain if you ever had an allergic reaction to Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain or any of its ingredients.Do not use Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain if you are now taking an MAOI drug or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug.
Do not use Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain in children <12 years old.
What should I tell my doctor before I take the first dose of Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain?
Tell your doctor about all prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal medications you are taking before beginning treatment with Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain. Also, talk to your doctor about your complete medical history, especially if you have or had liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, are taking a blood-thinning drug called warfarin, are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.What is the usual dosage?
The information below is based on the dosage guidelines your doctor uses. Depending on your condition and medical history, your doctor may prescribe a different regimen. Do not change the dosage or stop taking your medication without your doctor's approval.Adults and children ≥12 years old: Each caplet of Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain contains 325 milligrams (mg) of acetaminophen and 5 mg of phenylephrine.
Do not use Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain in children <12 years old. This formulation will provide more than the recommended dose (overdose) and may cause liver damage.
How should I take Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain?
Take 2 caplets of Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain every 4 hours by mouth. Do not take more than 12 caplets in 24 hours.What should I avoid while taking Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain?

If Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain with the following: alcohol, prescription or nonprescription drugs containing acetaminophen, and warfarin.What are the possible side effects of Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain?
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, tell your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking this drug.Stop use and ask a doctor if the following occur: nasal congestion or fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days, dizziness, new symptoms occur, nervousness, redness or swelling is present, sleeplessness, or if symptoms do not improve within 7 days or occur with a fever.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a healthcare professional before taking Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain.What should I do if I miss a dose of Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain?
If you miss a dose of Sudafed PE Pressure and Pain, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and return to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses at once.
