    Vicks Formula 44 Custom Care Congestion contains a cough suppressant and nasal decongestant. It is intended to provide temporary relief of cold symptoms including nasal congestion.

    Do not use Vicks Formula 44 Custom Care Congestion if you are taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or for 2 weeks after stopping an MAOI drug. MAOIs are sometimes used for treating Parkinson's disease, depression, and other emotional or psychiatric conditions.

    Stop using this medication and ask a doctor if you develop nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness, or your symptoms do not get better in 7 days or are accompanied by fever. Also stop use and ask a doctor if you have a cough lasting more than 7 days, a cough that comes back, or a cough that occurs with a fever, rash, or lingering headache. These could be signs of a serious illness.

    Store Vicks Formula 44 Custom Care Congestion out of the reach of children. In the event of an overdose, obtain medical help or contact a poison control center immediately.

    Adults and children 12 years: Take one tablespoon (15 mL) every 4 hours. Do not exceed 6 doses in a 24-hour period.

    Children 6-11 years: Take 1 ½ teaspoon (7 ½ mL) every 4 hours. Do not exceed 6 doses in a 24-hour period.

    Children 4-5 years: Ask a doctor.

    Children <4 years: Do not use in children under 4.
