Also, talk to your doctor about your complete medical history, especially if you have allergies, a viral infection, a perforated eardrum, or other ear disorders.
What is the usual dosage?The information below is based on the dosage guidelines your doctor uses. Depending on your condition and medical history, your doctor may prescribe a different regimen. Do not change the dosage or stop taking your medication without your doctor's approval.
Adults: Apply 3-5 drops into the affected ear(s) 3-4 times a day.
Children ≥3 years: Apply 3-4 drops into the affected ear(s) 3-4 times a day.
How should I take Vosol HC?Apply Vosol HC exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Carefully remove all ear wax and debris from your ear canal.
To promote continuous contact, insert a cotton wick saturated with Vosol HC solution into your ear canal; you can also saturate the wick after insertion of the wick into your ear canal. Keep the cotton wick moist by adding 3-5 drops of the solution every 4-6 hours. Remove the wick after 24 hours. Continue to apply the solution into your affected ear(s) 3-4 times a day.
What should I avoid while taking Vosol HC?Do not stop taking Vosol HC without asking your doctor.
What are possible food and drug interactions associated with Vosol HC?No significant interactions have been reported with Vosol HC at this time. However, always tell your doctor about any medicines you take, including over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
