    Zantac 75 contains an acid reducer. It is intended to relieve heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach. It is also intended to prevent heartburn related to acid indigestion and sour stomach brought on by certain foods and beverages.
  • Are there any warnings associated with Zantac 75?

    Do not use this product if you are allergic to ranitidine or any other acid reducers.

    Do not use this product if you have trouble or pain swallowing food; vomiting with blood; or black or bloody stools. These may be signs of a serious condition. See your doctor.

    Do not use this product with other acid reducers.

    Stop using this product and talk to a doctor if your heartburn continues or worsens, or if you need to take this product for more than 14 days.

    Keep out of the reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a poison control center immediately.

    Do not use this product if the printed foil under the bottle cap is open or torn, or if the individual blister unit is open or torn.

    Talk to a doctor before using this product if you have had heartburn for over 3

    months, since this may be a sign of a more serious condition.

    Talk to a doctor before using this product if you have frequent chest pain; frequent wheezing, particularly with heartburn; unexplained weight loss; nausea or vomiting; stomach pain; heartburn with lightheadedness, sweating, or dizziness; chest pain or shoulder pain with shortness of breath, sweating, lightheadedness, or pain spreading to your arms, neck, or shoulders.

    Talk to a doctor before using this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    Side effects cannot always be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, tell your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking this drug.

    Do not use this product with other acid reducers. Do not take more than 2 tablets in 24 hours.

    If Zantac 75 is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. Always check with your doctor before combining Zantac 75 with any other medication.
  • What is the usual dosage of Zantac 75?

    Adults and children 12 years: To relieve symptoms, swallow 1 tablet with a glass of water. To prevent symptoms, swallow 1 tablet with a glass of water 30 to 60 minutes before eating food or drinking beverages that cause heartburn. Do not take more than 2 tablets in 24 hours.
