  • What is this medication?

    Zyrtec-D Tablets contain an antihistamine and a nasal decongestant. They are intended for the temporary relief of a runny nose, sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, itchy nose or throat, and nasal congestion due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies. They are also intended to reduce swelling in the nasal passages, temporarily reduce sinus congestion and pressure, and temporarily restore breathing through the nose.
  • Are there any warnings associated with Zyrtec-D Tablets?

    Do not use this product if you have ever had an allergic reaction to it or any of its ingredients, or to an antihistamine containing hydroxyzine.

    Do not use this product if you are taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. MAOIs are sometimes used for treating Parkinson's disease, depression, and other emotional or psychiatric conditions.

    Do not use more of this product than directed. Do not take more than 2 tablets in 24 hours. Do not break or chew tablet; swallow tablet whole.

    Drowsiness may occur. Alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness. Avoid alcoholic drinks. Be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery.

    Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you have an allergic reaction to this product.

    Stop using the product and talk to a doctor if you get nervous, dizzy, or sleepless, or your symptoms do not get better within 7 days or are accompanied by fever.

    This product is not recommended while breast-feeding.

    Keep this product out of the reach of children. In the event of an overdose, obtain medical help or contact a poison control center immediately.

    Talk to a doctor before using this product if you have liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should determine if you need a different dose.
